Apertures is an ongoing series of wall-based assemblages investigating the tension between interior and exterior in man-made environments, and celebrating the 'humble' designs of nature. First constructed from imported, preserved reindeer moss, more recent compositions assemble lichens and mosses the artist has collected and preserved in landscapes across the UK, in an exploration of human collaboration with vibrant matter.
