London's Biggest Play Street
London's Culture Mile produced 'London's Biggest Play Street' in partnership with ZCD Architects and Islington Play Association. Nikki Hafter worked with ZCD Architect’s Dinah Bornat to create a mobile kit for loose-parts play in a pop-up playground, which occupied Smithfield Market's historic Grand Avenue on several weekends throughout summer 2019. A focus on accessible and reused materials was key to sparking the imaginations of adults and children alike, broadening expectations of what is possible for play at home and in the streets.

Over 1000 people attended over two dedicated sessions, and many more took part during the Museum of London's ‘Beastly Streets’ festival. The project was awarded The Developer's Meanwhile Prize 2019.
